Our Story

It all began when Chris, an entrepreneur by heart, stayed at what is now the Salty Breeze Inn while helping his son Max and his family move from Port Stanley, ON, to Rocky
Harbour, Newfoundland. Struck by the charm and breathtaking view of the inn, Chris asked if it was for sale. To his surprise, the answer was yes, and a deal was made.

For Chris, it wasn’t just the inn—it was the experience. “The location and the deal—it was perfect,” he recalls. For Lori, the scenic drive and unique atmosphere made it irresistible. Max and his wife Christal also saw the inn as a place where guests could experience the natural beauty and tranquility they loved. “It’s about sharing that experience—looking out at the stunning view, being surrounded by nature, and feeling at home,” Max explains.

Looking ahead, they’re excited to expand. “Winter activities and venues are definitely part of our future plans,” Chris shares. Salty Breeze Inn is more than a place to stay—it’s a place to belong, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories.
